SAO PAULO -- Brazil on Wednesday said it registered 1,175 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the previous 24 hours, raising the death toll to 104,201.

BAGHDAD -- A roadside bomb explosion destroyed a truck belonging to the U.S.-led coalition forces in Dhi Qar province in southern Iraq, the Iraqi military said Wednesday.
The blast took place in al-Bataha intersection near the provincial capital Nasiriyah, some 370 km south of Baghdad, and resulted in the burning of one of the convoy's trucks, the media office of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said in a brief statement. (Iraq-Bomb-US)
