The exercise kicked off on Tuesday morning in the presence of Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri.
The top general has traveled to Kerman to evaluate the combat and defense preparedness of the IRGC Ground Force units.
Major General Baqeri also paid a visit to the mausoleum of late Iranian commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated in a US strike in Iraq in January 2020.
Paying tribute to the late commander, General Baqeri said the legacy of General Soleimani has inspired the resistance forces in Palestine to stand against and destroy the Zionist regime.
Commenting on the ongoing crisis in Gaza, the top general said, "The enemies must bear in mind that the youth of Muslim countries and the resistance axis won't remain silent and won't allow anything from the foundation of arrogance to remain."
Iran's Armed Forces hold routine military exercises throughout the year.
Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran's defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
