BAGHDAD, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani received a phone call on Tuesday from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which they discussed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.
The conversation also addressed coordination between Iraq and the new U.S. administration, as well as the cooperation frameworks within the context of bilateral agreements, according to a statement from al-Sudani's media office.
The two sides also discussed the progress made in joint efforts across various fields and agreed to enhance communication and deepen cooperation, said the statement.
